LOLER Inspection

The lifting Operations and lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 came into force on 5th December 1998. If you are an employer or self employed providing lifting equipment for use at work then the regulations apply to you. Our fully qualified staff can carry out the time consuming task of checking all your climbing and lowering equipment to ensure it complies with the regulations. A LOLER inspection does not necessarily mean all your climbing and lifting equipment will need to be replaced. It is there to ensure that it is safe for use.

Initial Inspection

Service to include full inspection of equipment and production of LOLER spreadsheet to include; description of equipment, identity number, staff member allocated to, name of inspector and next inspection date. Any equipment with no I.D. markings, will be marked.

Climbing Kit

Kit to typically include 1no.climbing rope, 1no. climbing harness, 1no. tool strop, 3no Prussic loops and up to 5no. karabiners, wire core flip line.

Lowering equipment

To typically include lowering ropes, pulleys, capstans and webbings.

Re-inspection

Equipment will already be marked and listed as appropriate. The spreadsheet will be updated accordingly to indicate those items needing attention and the next inspection date.
